My name is Ben. I make films and plays, and I try to help make more artists.

I specialize mainly in directing and teaching. There’s also writing, creative producing, acting, editing, action design, and physical theater. At the core, I’m a story artist who works in visual mediums. I’m happy to embrace the fact that I always have been, and always will be, a multi-hyphenate. I think that’s the nature of most creative work.

It’s because I think films and plays are important, sometimes in how they are Important, sometimes in how they are something manifestly Unimportant. Sometimes we need something to shake us awake. Sometimes we need something to collapse on at the end of a hard day.
